Use this prefix for new threads for Manchester Airport
The Air India coming in from Delhi was slightly ironic to me as yesterday i mentioned to one of my work colleagues that the Manchester smog was rivalling China's as I went to Werneth Low to see If i could take some sunset photos, to which they retorted, you've not seen smog until you've been to New Delhi.

MAN took at least 3 diversions yesterday due to strong crosswinds at various airports and long holding delays into Heathrow.

AA104 (B777) JFK-LHR
FR4525 An EDI diversion (ex WMI)
XQ 596 Sun Express Antalya-BHX

It looked as if EK29 was on it's way here but having declared a fuel emergency went into BHX.

EK21 went straight to LHR yesterday before continuing it's way here so there were opportunities for a double EK A380 photo to be had.

The gutter press are at it again with ridiculous headlines. I now prefer to refer to them as "shiteicles".

"Tilting badly"

If these bafoons don't understand the subject matter they shouldn't be writing about it. In this case they don't understand what a crosswind is.

Yes apparently a Jet 2 737 diverted to Birmingham in the early hours.

Certainly caused quite long delays for a time and we had 3 flights diverted to LPL, LBA and BHX.

5 miles to the east, we had rain, but not torrential, and I wasn't aware of any thunder and lightning.

Just a few rumbles in the distance, It was the temperature drop I noticed about 10 degrees

I much prefer the warmer weather. My woolies will be coming back out at this rate.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
