Balkan Holidays have released there Summer 18 schedule.
In May and June they will be weekly on a Sunday.
Then from the 19th July they will go 2 weekly! Every Sunday and Thursday until the 20th September when they are back to 1 weekly on a sunday for the final 2 weeks.
The aircraft will probably be either an A320 or A321 as they got rid of their A330.

I wonder if they'll look at taking an allocation on TUIs Dubrovnik flights and offer Adriatic packages as well?

Do you know if they do so at other airports?

Flight times for both Thursdays and Sundays are
BOJ-CWL 10.10-11.50
CWL-BOJ 12.40-18.10

Yep at DSA they use TUI
Interesting. I looked at the BRS summer 2017 Guide leaflet (summer 2018 not yet published) and the only tour companies to use the TUI Bristol-Dubrovnik flights were TUI group companies. The leaflet doesn't show which if any tour companies used easyJet flights so it's possible Balkan Holidays took seats on easyJet flights to Dubrovnik if they wanted to use BRS for that area of Croatia.

Does CWL publish a list of tour operators that use each charter flight? If so, we should know in due course whether Balkan will be taking an allocation of seats with TUI to Dubrovnik.

I don't think so. They publish the tour operator's that use the airport and who they work with but not the ones who use the individual airlines i believe.

According to the airports arrivals board on the website the BH Air from Burgas tomorrow will arrive via Glasgow.

BH often seems to do double drops at the beginning of the season.

For instance, the BRS flight which doesn't begin until a week today is shown on Mayfly as inbound via Manchester and outbound to Varnia via Burgas. It seems that it will be taking passnegers from Manchester to Varnia after dropping off the BRS passengers at Burgas. If that is the case it's one hell of a Cook's Tour for the MAN punters, unless the aircraft is merely positioning between Burgas and Varnia.

As far as I can recall BH did the same towards the end of last summer via Glasgow. CWL don't seem to get enough pax at the end or beginning of the season.

If the price is right then people won't mind an extra stop. You have to wonder about crew hours though they must get tight for BH.

True with some people. Incidentally, I inadvertently renamed Varna in my previous post.

Burgas is a more cheap family orientated destination. I think both Thomas Cook and TUI end their flights at the beginning of October. It does do well during the peak summer. In July and August there will be 4 weekly flights.

The Black Sea resorts are wet windy and suprisingly chilly from the end of October to well into April.

Late spring and autumn they are also plagued by mosquitoes and similar biting flying things.

Add in the corrupt Russian and Moldavian mafias - though these are mainly in neighbouring Romainia particularly round Constanta it’s not an area I want travel to these days.

Went to Varna twenty plus years ago !

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
