Looking at the summer schedule , Tuesday mornings only see 4 737s being used , 5 in the afternoons. Is this intentional ?

It looks like cancun may become a winter destination too during November , feb and March . Nothing on sale but one to watch ( thurs and sat )

I could swear I read somewhere that Cancun was back from the 28th March, but looking at the TUI booking engine it’s suggests 18th April, then Orlando Melbourne not until 4th May.

I thought also that the Orlando (now to be to Melbourne instead of the previous Sanford)) was going to avoid the June-July break that was in place for a number of years pre-pandemic but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The last outbounds are on Sat 4 June and Wed 15 June with the last inbounds arriving on Sunday 19 June and Thursday 30 June. The service resumes in July with the first Saturday departure on 16 July and the first Wednesday departure on the 20 July. Thereafter the service returns to its early season pattern of weekly Wednesday and Saturday departures.

The presumed reason for the break has always been the earlier Scottish school holidays and it seems that is the case this year. During that period Glasgow has additional flights to Melbourne and there is a very short season from Edinburgh in June and July which does not operate a TUI route to Melbourne at other times. The Doncaster-Sheffield route to Melbourne (1 x weekly) seems similarly axed during this period.

The June/July Melbourne break is also shown for summer 2023. The BRS routes to Cancun and Florida are only operating overall between early May and late October in summer 2023 as this summer albeit Cancun begins in mid-April this year.

Cancun remains at 2 x weekly (Monday and Friday) throughout this summer season.

New route for Tui ( a reintroduction ) - Toulouse for winter 22/23
TUI used to do Toulouse as a ski route in season. easyJet seems to have reduced slightly on TLS this summer to 6 x weekly with 4 x weekly next winter.

Historically Shannon was used as a refuelling stopping point. I don't know if this is something TUI do these days with their Dreamliners.

On previous occasions they went to Manchester and i believe East Midlands if they needed extra fuel, i'd personally be surprised if it was a fuel related diversion.

Interesting as previously they've used Manchester and East Midlands.
I don't think Manchester is currently in any position to accept extra diversions, even if it's just for fuel. EMA may well be the same.
If the Ground Handlers, Airport Operations and even fuellers are struggling for staff, the aircraft could get further delayed.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
