Good point! Let’s see if he puts his money where his mouth is. He won’t of course because he has no government money to do it..
It’s a real shame I think, LHR is where all regional airports want to be connected to..

It would be interesting to see if the government does scrap domestic APD whether BA launch any domestic routes like Newquay.

Yesterday's local press article provides a comprehensive summary of NQY's enhanced Scottish route frequencies this year.

Another recent article outlined the changes that are being made to NQY's 2020 overall schedule.

Still getting this when I type in 'Newquay' in the website booking engine.

There are no direct flights from Newquay. Check the Worldwide checkbox to see Worldwide flights.

Ryanair operates from there to a couple of sun destinations so easyJet might follow suit but if there is no base at 'the other end' they would have to be w-diagrams because I can't see NQY becoming a base. Alternatively, perhaps they are eyeing up NQY for a domestic route or two from say MAN or EDI which would probably displace Eastern or Loganair providing easyJet believed the market would sustain an Airbus-size load. That might make sense if the coming summer is not affected as much domestically by restrictions as overseas routes.

Pete Downs the new NQY MD was head of aviation at BRS until a couple of years or so ago so would doubtless have a good knowledge of easyJet, although I'm not sure how much that sort of thing counts.

Personally I'd have thought that it would be a domestic route so either something like Gatwick or Manchester possibly. If they did launch a sun route it could indicate a possible change of strategy for the SW Britain area considering how they've always stuck with Bristol.

I'd be surprised if Loganair and Eastern stay on Glasgow and Manchester. MAN will have 3 carrier's on it.

Ryanair used to operate Stansted-Newquay. It was discontinued probably getting on for six/seven years ago, possibly a bit longer.

I can't see Ryanair launching Newquay to Stansted but you never know!

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
