Just seen a post on the other forum saying that Titan Airways have taken over the Superbreak flights possibly down to them having smaller aircraft than Enter Air.

The Cardiff Blues fans charters will return later on tonight the first on will be Albastar instead of Enter Air arriving at 00.05 from Vitoria and then Cello Aviation will arrive at 00.30 also from Vitoria.
Cardiff Blues themselves will arrive tomorrow at 13.40 from Bilbao with Eastern Airways with the European Challenge Cup trophy.

Hurtigruten will offer a Northern Lights fly cruise to Bergen from Cardiff on 24th March 2020.

Omega Breaks announces the return of unique ‘night flight’ in search of the Northern Lights

Following its hugely popular inaugural trip in March, tour operator Omega Breaks has announced another opportunity for keen stargazers to discover the Aurora Borealis from Cardiff next year, taking off on Friday 8th March 2019.
This unique excursion offers customers a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to take to the skies on board an aircraft to seek out the Northern Lights, a natural light show resulting from an interaction between the magnetic fields of the Earth and the Sun. The Aurora’s appearance can vary from a weak glow to a breath-taking, sky-filling spectacle, but its full effects are best seen up close and without the ground-level impact of clouds, light pollution or weather conditions.
The experience begins at Cardiff Airport with a presentation in the terminal from guest astronomer Pete Lawrence, presenter of the BBC’s Sky at Night programme. He will be joined by Nigel Bradbury, a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and an active amateur astronomer for over 40 years.
The flight, which lasts up to three and a quarter hours, will take off from Cardiff in the hours of darkness in search of the best views of the Northern Lights, with on-board commentary by the two expert astronomers. The flight also includes refreshments and the services of an Omega Breaks tour specialist to ensure guests have the best possible experience.
Deb Barber, Chief Executive Officer of Cardiff Airport, said: “Our customers will really enjoy the opportunity to take off from Cardiff and discover one of the world’s most amazing natural phenomenon from the sky. This was such a unique and popular addition to our schedule back in the spring, so it’s great to see the return of the Northern Lights experience with Omega Breaks in 2019.”
Peter Truman, Astronomy Consultant at Omega Breaks, added: “These unique flights, which have been operating for 20 years, really offer an excellent opportunity to see the Northern Lights.
We are above the main obstacle, cloud cover, and also have a much wider overall view of the Auroral Oval from around 36000ft above sea level, than you do at ground level.”
To book a Northern Lights night flight with Omega Breaks, visit the website, call 0330 013 0145 or call in to your local travel agent to enquire.

Jet2 will be operating a Krakow day trip charter on the 13th February. Departs at 07.00 and returns at 22.35. Unfortunately too early a departure and too late an arrival to get any photos.

Mynt Travel are offering a Lapland Northern Lights holiday package from Cardiff on the 4th February 2024. It's for 4 nights.

It's good to see Welsh Travel Agents organising their own packages from CWL, if a few more did the same we would see CWL passenger numbers rising. The Travel House who have 22 shops in South Wales have become a member of the Hayes Independent Travel Group and are selling a lot more Jet2 holidays out of BRS, where as previously sold a lot of Thomas Cook holidays from CWL.

It's unfortunate for the airport, the demand is there but too many people are willing too travel out of the area to go on holiday so there's no incentive for airlines too cater for the demand out of CWL and companies like Travel House don't really have much of an option. Wizz Air was supposed to be part of changing that but we all know what happened there.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
