Aswell as making Sofia an A321 and adding an extra flight Wizz have also now swapped their days of operation to match those of Ryanair, so it's shaping up to be quite a battle.

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

Ryanair

SOF 17:15 BHX 18:40
BHX 19:05 SOF 00:20

Wizz Air

SOF 17:00 BHX 18:30
BHX 19:05 SOF 00:25

Will we see Gdansk and/or Katowice from Wizz in the near future?

Wizz have definitely been avoiding Ryanair up to now. On both routes where they're in competition (WAW and SOF), it's been Wizz who made the first move and Ryanair who have retaliated. Hopefully this will eventually result in Ryanair re-introducing Budapest, although I wouldn't be surprised to see them start Bucharest given the way they started Madrid.

I notice Wizz don't yet fly out of Kraków. At 2 weekly from RYR, we could really use some competition on that route, probably more than Gdansk or Katowice.

Vilnius, Malta, Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, Krakow, Warsaw, Bratislava, Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Malaga, Palma and Tenerife all have extra flights added over the Christmas and New Year period.

Next years Cheltenham Festival flights are now showing.

Mon 13th 8 flights
Tue 14th 10 flights
Wed 15th 8 flights
Thur 16th 9 flights
Fri 17th 10 flights

The Ryanair timetable is now showing until September 2017, although nothing is bookable yet.

The biggest change looks to be Faro which goes from 4x weekly up to daily. Gran Canaria and Tenerife look to gain an extra flight each going 3 and 4 weekly respectively. Ibiza drops to 2x weekly losing the Tuesday flight. Aside from that, at this very early stage, it's as you were.

It's extremely early days so further changes are more or less guaranteed.

This year Faro only goes up to 4 weekly in August, and even then I think that's a bit thin compared to more than 14 weekly up at Manchester. So good to see it increasing.

In Charleroi this morning there was an impressive dawn line-up of 14 RYR Boeings ready to fly to here there and, well not quite everywhere....

I remain surprised that Brussels, a major cultural, business and international trading city is not linked directly by RYR to BHX through either Charleroi or Zaventem.

Given that we'll have Jet2 on the routes for next summer, I wonder what the odds are for the return of Girona and/or Reus?

The same with EDI, you can only fly with Fybe and BRU you have Brussels Airlines. Im sure Ryanair would fill there planes if they flew to both of these cities.

I too would be keen for flights to EDI and GLA. Ryanair's flights from STN to EDI and GLA start from around £30 return. Flybe's are about 3 times this price!

Yeah there flights from Dublin to LBA are around the same! Would love Ryanair to do routes like that from CWL. Flybe are ok but can be a bit pricey sometimes.

I used to love using Bmibaby for a nice weekend in EDI.

For what Flybe want now, I'd have got flights, a hotel and a good chunk of spending money.

Flybe have been good for CWL but they can be expensive. looked up how much a weekend away in edinburgh would be for the rugby and lets just say it was pricey!

And if i could get a return to EDI for £20 rtn like i did to DUB last summer (amazing) even about £50 rtn, id even go up for the day to do some plane spotting. Damn you Flybe (n)

My wife and regularly did day trips with easyJet (and Go before that) from Bristol to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle. Usually paid around £15-£20 each way then. Lots to do and see in and around all those cities. Don't do it any more as we are now too old to get up at stupid o'clock go catch the first northbound of the day.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
