Yes
I hadn't realised there was no Air Malta thread in the BRS forums.

As the airline has been a regular summer visitor and a consistent performer for many years I suppose it's been taken for granted.

The thing that made me curious is that there are two large advertising hoardings on the A4 between Bath Bridge and Three Lamps in Bristol. They advertise Malta but each time I've passed (on a moving bus) I've failed to see any airline mentioned. The name of the airline might be there. If it is it's in fairly small print.

I suspect it's linked with Air Malta because the BRS summer service begins on Tuesday 1 May.
Were it for Thomas Cook's weekly service or Ryanair's 3 x weekly service I think it would have been obvious that it was linked with one of them.

Yes very strange no forum for Air Malta. What with Air Malta with a base in BRS a few years back with 1 based Airbus A320 working for XL airways on part of their route offerings.
Air malta have for years done their own route to Malta with seats sold to Thomson as it was then. The route from BRS to Mallta is classed as a schedule rather than a charter.
I could never work out why they did not offer some sort of service to Malta in the winter months, not so many years back Ryanair started a service to Malta all year round so they must be happy with the yield in winter months or it would have been dropped for winter, summer speaks for it self.

Ryanair does drop from its 3 x weekly in summer to 2 x weekly in winter but its monthly load factors are always well into the 90s% year round. As you say, the yields must suit them as they keep it going year after year. We've never been to Malta. We've thought about going more than once in the past but never got around to it.

With Thomas Cook resuming its weekly summer service this week that it began last summer, there seems to be room for five rotations a week across three airlines. There will be a slight drop in capacity this year because Mayfly shows the TCX Malta being operated by the A320 this year instead of one of the A321s that was the case in 2017.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
