Liverpool: Executive Jets & General Aviation

Discussions relating to Liverpool Airport
is that just for GA Carl?

What i have noticed of recent times is significant increase in biz / exec jets. Im not an expert in these type of aircraft but some are quite large indeed and arrive from the US for example.

Thanks for that, looks good. Obviosuly a sign of business increase which is always good news, certainly Merseyside is setting its case out and seems to be successful..

The LIMA taxing way is now open connecting new apron and hangar.

EMB Praetor 500 is due in from Stansted today at 11.15. First visit of this new type of biz jet. Shame it wasn't yesterday when it was dry and sunny !

Thanks for update from " Severn "

As there are so few aircraft about, you notice when you see anything at all flying. While digging in the back garden watched an ' islander' like aircraft, that seemed to being circuits from the LPL direction doing a loop then heading back. I read somewhere that Ravenair who are based at Liverpool were doing some surveys north of London recently, so I wondered if it was them. I notice they have a Partenavia P68B/ Observer in their fleet which is a bit Islander like so maybe it was that what I saw.

ZP802 Boeing P 8A Poseidon visited Liverpool yesterday.
This was its first visit and was doing some local circuits. I imagine this aircraft is to takeover from Nimrods, which have also been seen quite often at Liverpool. ZP802 operated in from Kinloss

Thanks Carl. I did see it on its way around Penketh and to me it just looked like an all white frame.

Still working up to full squadron strength and awaiting deliveries from Boeing. They are going to be based at Lossiemouth when the facility updates have been completed. In the meantime they are operating from the old Nimrod base at Kinloss, which reverted to being an Army base after the Nimrods were scrapped.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
