FR24 is showing FLY4 B737-800 (EI-FFA, EIFFA) due from DUB at 15:21. No Dep from BHX showing.
Interesting one this, was registered G-TUKM owned by TUI until Jan 2024, went to EMA for a paintjob to FLY4 colours. New airline launched by Enter Air and partly owned by TUI and started flying a week ago with reg EI-FFA and being used by TUi certainly in the short term. Got 3 more acft due to arrive soon, wonder if they'll be ex TUI acft as well

Slight addition to that info. Went to SNN for base paint. Flown about Germany and Brussels the last week before going to EMA. Probably the decals being placed on the aircraft there. Now it's awf around Ireland for the day before coming to BHX.

This is the operation to cover the lost Canadian operation and will be 4 ex TUI 738s

they have been recruiting for cabin crew at BHX & EMA, so i'm guess 2 aircraft to be based at BHX, 2 at EMA for TUI

Virgin A350-1000 (G-VPRD, VIR611) from ATL is now showing on FR24, ETA 06:38. ETD to LHR 08:05 as VIR094P.

[EDIT] - It has now departed ATL an is en-route to BHX. ETA now 06:46.

I'm intrigued as to why this is operating to BHX. If anyone is 'in the know' and it's not sensitive information, could you let us know?
I'm also interested as to where it will park.

I just spotted that whilst idly looking for something else that departed around 18:30. Is there some reasoning behind it?

Have we had a A350-1000 into BHX before?

I found myself in the Virgin website and seems there is another one in April (12th I think). Can't see any clue why though ...

Yes, the same aircraft took the England Football team out to the Qatar World Cup in Dec 2022. It operated from the Western (Elmdon) apron.

Is that ATL to BHX or BHX to ATL? If BHX to ATL, possibly taking back whoever it is bringing i tomorrow.

Parking on stand 85C, so i've heard.

also had a first visit yesterday, G-TUKV TUI B738 from Exeter, TOM931P, ex OO-TNB

Looking busy on the Elmdon side today with two Eastern due in a E190 from Gatwick to Brussels and a E170 t/f Gatwick plus a private E190 from Ryadh to Luton wx diversion.Additionally also a Magma 744 from Hong Kong via DWC at 17:30 out later 19:30to Liege. The Cavok that arrived yesterday is still on the ground and appears to be a nightstopper.

All from Ian's site.

When did 'the man with beard' state never to use BHX under any circumstances?
Branson stated BHX never donkeys years ago but in reality these days doesn't control Virgin Atlantic with Delta owning 50%.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
