A couple of Milatry movements today with the RSAF C130 that's been here since Saturday departing back to Saudi and a RAF C17 due in from Brize this afternoon.

Meanwhile on the freight side due in are the Hong Kong Cargo A332 from Almaty, National 744 from Dubai DWC and the Maersk 76V from Bilund.

Full details on Ian's blog.

Also there is a BA 320 due to depart to Gatwick just after the A321 arrives, the A321 is for STS.

Yesterday the SASA333 had a little walk about the airport and returned to the STS hangar.

According to FR24 and backed up by Ian's movements blog, it'll be spending the night on the Elmdon apron so hopefully visible?

No idea about an ETD. Ian is the man when it comes to movements and he's currently sunning himself in Manilla
Much appreciated thank you. I'm going to try and get there for 10:45/11:00 hopefully it will stay long enough.

most likely a one off charter flight, an airline would not do a training or test flight of this sort of distance!
Don't be too hasty saying that. I remember the Japanese Government sent one of their 744's over to BHX on a test run prior to the G8 conference!

Gulf Air 789 due on March 1st.

Info from @aeroroutes on X.

maybe Formula 1 related, bringing the teams home from testing in Bahrain?

Formula 1 and governing body the FIA have announced that the Bahrain International Circuit will host three days of pre-season testing in 2025 on February 26, 27 and 28.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
