The Thai was a diversion from Heathrow. Kudos to them for trying to get their passengers as close to their destination as possible.

Maybe. There's 6 flights a day to Heathrow - probably shoving some of those passengers onto that - can't upset passengers on the golden goose route.

Also, it is delayed by an hour and a bit - now scheduled to leave Dubai (their time) at 16:05 as opposed to 14:50

EDIT: now back to 15:20 :D

I have got confirmation, it’s definitely happening. Should’ve been gone at 15:20, however now showing as 15:50
Edit: now showing 16:17, this is due to the extra load of Heathrow Passengers on this flight today

Tomorrow mornings Qatar service has been upgraded to a B77W (A7-BAE)
This is due to Heathrow bookings transferred, another 777 by emirates is expected to come, although has been cancelled. I’m not sure if it’s an error or not. Flight was EK2543, operated by a 777. Emirates booked train tickets for operator Avanti west coast, however no update has been given since cancellation.

I wonder if they'd do it for any other airport than Heathrow.

Magic 8 ball says 'doubt'
I often used to use Swiss air & could buy an all in 1 ticket from BHX to any Swiss rail station & even put your luggage on at the return station & not touch til back in U.K.
I always thought Virgin would of seen potential of doing similar as we are the only airport with mainline station attatched
But of course man with beard said no !

No sorry not the trains - upgrade another airports aircraft to appease their biggest customers airport being out of action.

Prob a lot of plats and invitation only customers on the Heathrow flights so have to keep them sweet.

Tomorrow we have an A320 of Leav Aviation (D-ANDI) due to arrive from Cologne at around 14.30. It seems to be operating the charter to Stuttgart in place of the usual Avanti Dash 8.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
