Duplicate email addresses - a question

Hope fully somebody will be able to help me on this topic?

I have noted that when typing a contact into the address bar of new emails I often get offered more than one address - due to their having had different accounts. The question is how do I delete the old address? I have looked in contacts, I have tried to delete when entering the contact detail but again no joy.

I'm using gmail.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm assuming you're referring to emails within your user control panel on the forum? You remove the old one and replace with the new one. If you encounter any problems PM me with the replacement and I can do it.

Sorry, I meant on my personal gmail account - and it's the same on all devices (Laptop, tablet and phone).

I do believe that I have now resolved the issue - by delving into parts of Gmail that I never knew existed!!

If anybody has any similar problems please send me a PM and I'll try to answer them.

I think I have a similar issue with GMail but I ignore suggestions and select the address that appears correct if my memory is suspect! I can forgive Google most things.

I would assume that all contacts can be managed from Google Contacts 😉

You're quite correct Ashley. My problem was that the Google posts that I found seemed to show a means of accessing contacts via an icon I don't appear to have!! All resolved now, but thanks for your input.
