LPA, FUE and a few ski flights could compliment the existing routes if there is room. Good news nevertheless. Wizz showing some commitment for the time being.

Looking at the times for Alicante and Faro on Tuesdays and Saturdays it does appear as if they've been copied and pasted from the summer schedule. So I wonder if potentially Sharm el Sheikh could be moved instead to Sundays and Thursdays and another route similar in sector length to Mallorca operates Tuesday and Saturday mornings before Alicante.

The WIZZ winter schedule should make a big difference to the CWL passenger figures, although WIZZ were seen by some people to be a replacement for Thomas Cook, they hadn't operated a winter schedule for several years.

When is the first Wizz flight of the summer programme due to operate?

Many thanks.

In the winter they are probably going to be making up for the loss of Flybe and then some, it'll definitely make them the biggest airline seats wise in the winter at Cardiff.
Hopefully with Wales away to Italy in 2023 then we might see some Wizz flights to Rome for that game as well.

I genuinely don't understand why Wizz have set the prices for their winter 2022/23 flights so high. Coming up as £106 one way for Alicante and Faro and £132 one way for Tenerife and Larnaca. Lanzarote and Sharm el Sheikh are half the price of the latter 2. Just concerned that this may put off anyone looking to book early.

Cardiff half marathon has been hinting at a big announcement the last few days on social media. They are revealing it later but based on the hints they keep posting id stick my money on it being a sponsorship deal with Wizz.

That would be a great little boost …

Perhaps to coincide with the launch of the Wizz Winter Schedule? Given it’s been on-sale for the best part of a week you’d expect there’d be some sort of announcement from the airport, with a view to also boosting upcoming Summer bookings - A very good marketing opportunity.

Only a bit of speculation but if Wizz was to introduce a new winter route at CWL what do people think they could go for? More winter sun? Eastern Europe? Ski? The winter schedule being onsale hasn't seemed to be announced yet so makes me wonder if it's not complete and we could see a new route for the winter.

Geneva would be the most obvious ski destination but would it be viable from Cardiff on an A321/A320?

I agree with Mr Fenner.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
