Leeds Bradford Airport Support Group
View attachment 21148
We have launched a petition to counter the negative campaign run by GALBA to constantly attack and discredit LBA with negative and false claims.

Help support the LBA Support Group petition.

As a supporter of Leeds Bradford airport, we wanted you to be one of the first to see what we are doing to get behind Leeds Bradford Airport proposals.

The idea of the petition is to get as many people to support it as possible, particularly from those who otherwise didn't have time to visit the Leeds City Council planning portal or perhaps they thought it was too much hassle.

We know that many people who work at the airport and many out in the community who support the airport actually think the airport plans with get through without a problem. We know this isn't the case and if we don't get wider community support, the council will not approve the proposals.

We can't achieve what we want without your help. We need you to sign and share the petition widely among your friends, family and work colleagues.

If your job depends on Leeds Bradford Airport, maybe you're a baggage handler, dispatch crew or maybe you're a pilot, then your airport needs you. This is not just about a new green terminal. If the plans are rejected, it will have wider implications for the very existence of the airport and the jobs it creates, plus the airport will lose more services to neighbouring airports adding significantly more to the carbon footprint.

This really is our last chance to get this over the line. Please share the above link with friends and family.

I will second that. This has been shared with a lot of people already so 27 in 24 hours isn't going to get us very far.

Other than seeing the petition on here, I’ve not seen it shared anywhere else especially via the likes of Twitter and Facebook.

Is it going to be shared on there as it makes it easier for people to then share onwards and gather some momentum?

I've posted on my own personnel Facebook wall.
It is now also on the "LBA Aviation Enthusiast" Facebook gpage, as I just got permission to post it.
I'm hopeful it will be posted on official LBA Aviation Community page (Run by ATC) soon, but I'm awaiting permission to post.

Won't be going fully public on twitter and everywhere else yet as we are in discussions as to this regards.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
