That will never happen in a million years.

You've got an anti aviation government with a bunch of spineless anti aviation Leeds based MP's and an anti aviation West Yorkshire mayor. And then a lot of moronic councillors.
On this occasion the Mayor has stated her support. Her statement is included in the publicity. Her support is vital as it may discourage the idiotic Labour MPs from kicking off about it. One of their famous five anti airport Leeds Labour MPs has recently lost the whip too whilst another has better things to worry about in her new role as chancellor.

I don't believe it will all happen, at least not for a long time. However, any government wanting tax revenue will have no choice to permit many developments.
Well the terminal is a definite, the stands, or at least some of them seem definite and don't need planning consent, the runway is a necessity and doesn't need planning consent, and it's unlikely that the council would oppose a hotel if and when that's built. Beyond 2030 who knows? If I'm still around by then I'll think about it at the time.

It should not be forgotten the original reason the government said airports should release masterplans was so airports couldn't supprise local communities about expansion. I think what has been laid out by LBA this time is basically what is achievable at LBA. Achievable doesn't mean it will all happen though.
I think anything beyond 2030 is just a strategic view. Nobody really knows what will be happening

i doubt this government will still be in charge after 2030…🤣

I can't believe we forgot to post this video. Within the video shows moving versions of the CGI already released. Hopefully an official flythrough will be available soon to give everyone a better idea of what we can look forward to,
Just had a watch, the video itself is high quality with some good camera footage and nice angles used! The video gives a very professional look.
It also shows quite a few new artist impressions of the outside of the terminal extension, i must admit I've only ever seen 1 image of what it will look like so good to see more images on here. Couple of points though, where that patterned design is located on the terminal extension to the right side (entrance rd side) the words "leeds bradford airport" could be located there as it would be really visible when arriving at the airport. And secondly when you exit the extension im guessing they will be a short walk to the left to the meet and greet car park as the main entrance road is not been relocated to pass in front of the extension?
Other than that i think the extension looks spot on with a good design/look to it, exciting times at LBA!

More images are on the REGEN thread...

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
