Interesting. At a guess I can’t see that pleasing Easyjet very much...
I believe the flight was 40 mins late so missed it's slot so was forced to divert until the display was over i believe.

According to the airports website the mornings 08.20 Newcastle arrival with Eastern Airways is cancelled along with the corresponding 08.50 departure.

On the SWAG site it shows as operated and the late afternoon shows operated. The plot thickens.

Sorry missed out tomorrow before morning! It's this mornings flights.

The early NCL rotation gets cancelled a fair bit,the afternoon gets cancelled as well but not quite as often. What is the reason or don't we know.It does not make the NCL service very reliable. It makes you wonder how many pax going over to BRS to get the Easy jet flight to NCL.

According to FR24 Eastern have cancelled both Newcastle rotations today the morning and evening ones and on the airports website the evening one isn't scheduled.

Makes you wonder whats happening with eastern. It does not make pax booking a flight comfortable as not sure if its operating.

I wonder if like BMI they are struggling for crews, plus as well the J41s must be getting on a bit now so maybe there are maintenance problems as well?

Just like the BMIR E 145 getting long in the tooth now. They must be doing things on the aircraft that normal airlines would not,and run aircraft over certain age as not reliable enough.

Hopefully in time they'll swap the route over to a Saab or that they'll sort themselves out.

Was reading on dried plum some while back that the saabs were getting unreliable.Sounds like both airlines could do with new fleets.

But i think the problem for them maybe is raising the money for the new aircraft which can be the downside of being a small airline with an old fleet which is used a intensively.

It looks like last night the crew of G-FBEG the based E195 ran out of hours up in Edinburgh, according to the airports website last night's 22.40 arrival BE4508 will operate back today. As a result this mornings Dublin departure and corresponding arrival has been cancelled so the aircraft can operate the 07.10 departure to Rome which departed at 08.35. That has had a knock on effect with the Paris CDG flight which is now due out at 12.15 and the Jersey flight which is now due out at 14.15 according to the airports website. Dusseldorf is now estimated for a 16.00 departure while Verona is estimated at 17.25.

Looks like flybe got no spare aircraft any where. Its good that all in use that can be used, but it shown up that if any problems any where they have no spare to operate which ever route is in problems.

Well there was the storm in the South East last night so I've no doubt that caused disruption and probably occupied any spare aircraft. In all it's probably easier for Flybe to just cancel the Dublin flight and run the rest late.

Would think there are may “spare” aircraft anywhere in Europe now we are in the full holiday season.

G-FBEG is now on its way back to CWL from EDI but the Jersey flight has now been cancelled.

Big delay on todays Alicante with Vueling scheduled to arrive at 12.10 but won't arrive until 21.35!

Vueling seem to have had a few problems around their network. Is this due to tech aircraft or is their flying programme too heavy that if they have problems no spare to cover.

I honestly don't know. Alicante has seen the odd delay in the last few weeks. It's also possible that any ATC delays or strikes in France would effect them quite a bit as well. I'd hazard a guess this could be down to a tech aircraft and no spares to cover it.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
