Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have today announced the launch of flights and holidays to Sicily from Bristol Airport for Summer 22, giving customers and independent travel agents across the region even more choice when it comes to enjoying beach holidays and city breaks in Italy.

The addition of the stunning island expands Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ programme from Bristol Airport to 36 destinations for Summer 22 and comes in response to strong and continued demand from local holidaymakers since the launch of their newest base.

The leading leisure airline and package holiday specialist will operate weekly Tuesday services to Sicily from 3rd May through to 25th October from Bristol Airport. Flights will operate to Catania Airport, opening up a range popular resorts on the east coast of the island, which are just a short transfer away.

Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean and is a well-established destination with UK holidaymakers, offering everything from beach holidays to city breaks. With culture, cuisine, dramatic landscapes, mighty Mount Etna, and stunning beaches, Sicily has something for everyone.

Jet2holidays, the UK’s leading tour operator to Europe, is launching package holidays to Sicily with a fantastic choice of beach resorts on sale including Taormina, Taormina Mare, Giardini Naxos, Syracuse, Cefalu and Campofelice Di Roccella. Customers can take their pick from a selection of quality accommodation, with a range of star ratings and types of board basis available. In addition, packages are also on sale through Jet2CityBreaks to the historic city of Catania.

As a result of this expansion, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays now have three Italian destinations on sale for Summer 22 from Bristol Airport (Sicily, Naples and Verona) offering customers and independent travel agents fantastic choice, whether it’s an Italian city break or a beach holiday to enjoy a slice of the La Bella Vita.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said:

“We are continuing to see a great deal of demand for Summer 22 from Bristol Airport, so we are adding Sicily to our programme to give customers and independent travel agents even more choice. This stunning Italian island offers local holidaymakers everything from culture and history to sun and glamour, and we are going on sale with a fantastic choice of flights, resorts and hotels. This means we now have 36 destinations on sale for Summer 22 from Bristol Airport, and we know that this choice of destinations, coupled with our award-winning flights and real package holidays, will be hugely popular with customers and independent travel agents alike. We continue to be absolutely delighted with the response since announcing our new base at Bristol Airport, and we are very excited about taking customers away with us on our award-winning flights and holidays.”

Dave Lees, CEO, Bristol Airport said:

“We are delighted that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have added a new Sicilian route, Catania to the route network available from Bristol Airport from summer 2022. This offers customers living in the South West and Wales a wider range of destination choices. The new services to Sicily demonstrate the important role regional airports continue to play in offering choice and connectivity and the added convenience for customers of flying from their local airport, removing the need of unnecessary journey times and carbon footprint travelling to alternative airports. This route compliments the existing route network already available from Bristol Airport.”

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
