Liverpool: Lufthansa News & Flight Discussion

Discussions relating to Liverpool Airport
Saw the Lufthansa service on the way in this morning, possible technical problems, as airport departures is just now saying final call, should have long gone.

LH have suffered a major IT failure affecting the whole of the network with departures suspended

Today we celebrate one year of Lufthansa in Liverpool, and to mark the occasion, we presented one passenger, Emma Taylor, with a free pair of return flights! 🎁

Emma is a teacher who lives in Cairo, but uses Lufthansa to travel between the Egyptian capital and Liverpool, where her parents live.

Congratulations to Emma, and here's to many more connections to and from Liverpool with Lufthansa. 🥳

A319 operated again this afternoon, to, cope with Eurovision passengers in particular.

but given the CAA stats suggest the LPL route is struggling, they might well be cautious.
Can you expand on that. What makes you think it’s struggling. I was under the view it performed quite well and at times upgraded the aircraft.

They have upgraded the aircraft at times, A319s during Eurovision. Also E190 substitute at times, which I've flown on myself.

The flights are available to book into 2024, I take they are happy with doing that.

CAA stats are some months behind so the route may be performing much better during the summer months but Scottie Dog reported LF in February at 44% and in March at 55%.
