We've got threads about Flight Simulators but I've been wondering if anyone has tried any of the Air Traffic Control Simulators out there?

Unmatched Air Traffic Control by Vector3D studios.

I've used Unmatched Air Traffic Control for a while now. It basically allows you to do a tower roll of sequencing air traffic landing and departing along with ground movements on the airfield. It starts relatively slowly with only a few movements but as the game progresses it starts to get busy and you have to organise your sequencing carefully or you will fail. During the game there are random go-arounds, failed take-offs and bad weather along with changes between day and night. There are multiple functions allowing you to taxi and hold aircraft around the airfield. Ground vehicles such as baggage carts, steps and aircraft tugs all move making the game feel more realistic. My review might be based on an older version but I have always enjoyed this game and I would definitely recommend it to avgeeks out there who love watching the goings on at airports.

Cost? The standard game is free but you can buy aircraft livery to make the airport seem more familiar to your local airport. The game will also allow you to upgrade your airport when you have sufficient credits or if you choose to you can buy them.

More recently I downloaded Endless Air Traffic which is probably the most realistic Air Traffic Control game there is for an Android device. The game allows you to experience Air Traffic Control from the radar operators perspective with arrival and departure traffic at a busy international airport. The aim of the game is to descend air traffic through the airspace and guide them to the approach for landing. While you're doing this, departure traffic is passing through levels on SID departures and other flights are transiting through the airspace.

With zero Air Traffic Control experience I imagine this game is about as realistic as it gets. It would be great to hear what the professionals out there think?

Many years ago I had London Control ATC which was a very good simulation based on UK airspace and for use on a PC. Whether it is still available or not I don't know.
I'm sure London Control ATC is essentially the same as Endless Air Traffic Control?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
