It's had a LOI for a "double digit" order by American regional carrier Cape Air.

There's one big problen I see with electric (or battery) powered planes. Batteries weigh the same whether fully charged or depleted. So unlike a turbine or piston powered aircraft (which burns off fuel as it flies), an electric aircrafts maximum take off weight will be limited to it's maximum landing weight.

GlobalX says the still-in-development planes will open up new opportunities for network expansion in their key markets of Florida, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean while furthering the company's eco-friendly ambitions.[…]

Based in Arlington, WA, Aviation Aircraft is eyeing introducing its nine-seat carbon-fiber, fly-by-wire, twin-motor, battery-enabled Alice aircraft as soon as 2023. The plane will be powered by rear-mounted magniX650 electric motors. In August, a prototype underwent ground tests at Lake Moses, WA, and its first test flight is reportedly imminent.
