Hi Scottie and everyone.

Yes very good news for Manchester that the big hangar will be active again albeit in 2024 but positive news for a change.

Just a thought the old Air Livery paint shop could be acquired as well to paint them up after freighter conversion. You never know.

Best wishes from Bilko.

SPDTravel reporting the first customer at the Manchester facility this morning, AirTransat A321 C-GTCY. Be interesting to see how they split the work going forward.
Interesting also that this aircraft is a former Thomascook.

Courtesy of Liam McManus is a photo of the Air Transat A321 arriving at Manchester. I will create a new thread to cover STS movements and will, when done, move these posts to that thread.

Slightly belatedly, but to keep the records up to date, Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VUFO arrived on Wednesday 2nd November.

The ITA A359 has now, according to AlphaFive, been delayed until Thursday 10th November with an ETA of 08:50

Well unless you're a number cruncher then you've not actually missed much. It's all white and I'll put a photo into the Manchester photo thread later this afternoon.

Photo now available here https://forums4airports.com/threads/130/page-7

So that now means that STS has;

1 x Air Transat A321
1 x Virgin Atlantic A333
1 x ITA A359
1 x CIT Aerospace A332

Doing alright aren't they. Should put an offer in for the ex air livery hanger. Hangers are for planes, not boxes.

You're are correct however, I believe that when Air Livery moved out of the hangar, there was a considerable amount of old paint left - from the spraying - in the air-conditioning units and this makes it rather expensive to repair.

Just to confirm that this is just something I have been told and I have no definite proof.

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
