HZ-ARA was allocated but was changed quite secondSeems like tomorrow's JED-BHX will also be a 78X....unexpected.....subject to change![]()
They had s new 787-10 delivered the other day Will give them more options from BHX.I dont care what date it is a 100% LF is unbelievable !
Not sure about all, but some is likely. Is it just a case that Saudia are just carrying all the pax that would of used PIA ?
Not very likely. The 777s appeared regularly at LHR and MAN in the past. They now mainly operate US and Far Eastern routes. They do operate RUH-LHR because of the large first class uptake on that route. They are very premium heavy.Won’t be long until we receive a B77W from Jeddah.I BET

I’ve heard a discussion took place regarding Birmingham at saudia. They are mainly wanting an aircraft switch to 777. Daily flights are still far to happenOnly 8 out of 33 777s have First Class, the remainder being 2 class most of which have a similar premium density to the 787s.
Not suggesting it will definitely happen, but the 2 class 777s offer 25% more business seats and 40% more economy than the -9 and 15% more economy than the -10, so if extra capacity is needed, the 777 is still an option.
We're only 2 months into the operation though, so if we can keep what we have for 12 months than that's more than a good enough start.
Winter demand to Saudia Arabia drops off in winter, hence thr fall in the number of flts from LGW.Apparently on other sites it’s been mentioned Saudia for the winter23/24 are to reduce LGW to Jeddah from the 7 weekly to 4…. So they may have spare capacity if it’s needed elsewhere ?
Really depends, BHXs Saudia counts have been on a really significant rise. This may not be the same for MAN and LGW, if they do drop out a additional rotation from MAN, it won’t affect what they do with BHX as they solely focus on demandWinter demand to Saudia Arabia drops off in winter, hence thr fall in the number of flts from LGW.
Don't know therefore if Saudia would want to increase BHX in winter ?
They do have newly delivered 787-10 not yet in service and another due next year So should have more options to increase BHX next year.
The plan to add an additional rotation out of MAN has also now been dropped by the airline.
Is the reason why the BHX counts have been on the rise because it has only been operating three months?Really depends, BHXs Saudia counts have been on a really significant rise. Partly due to the loss of PIA and quite a few going now via Saudia. Is the reason why the BHX counts have been on the rise because it has only been operating three months?
