easyJet has today announced it will be relaunching its route from Newcastle International Airport to Amsterdam, providing customers in North East England with more choice and great value connectivity to one of Europe’s most popular city destinations, whether they’re travelling for leisure or business.

The UK’s fastest growing tour operator, easyJet holidays, has also launched brilliant package holidays at unbeatable prices on the new route.

The new route will take off from 5 September 2024 and operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays year-round providing the perfect connection for a long weekend in the Netherlands capital. Flights are available to book now at easyJet.com with fares starting from £27.99*.

This announcement comes after easyJet relaunched its Newcastle to Alicante route in April 2024 which is operating throughout summer providing customers with more connections for a Spanish beach break, alongside existing services to Majorca, Geneva, Bristol and Belfast.

Brand new package holidays from Newcastle to Amsterdam are also available to book with easyJet holidays

Ali Gayward, easyJet's UK Country Manager, commented:

“We’re delighted to be offering this service from Newcastle to Amsterdam with new package holidays, adding more great value connectivity for customers in the North of England and providing even more choice whether they are booking their next city break or travelling for business, and we look forward to welcoming more customers onboard.”

Leon McQuaid, Director of Aviation Development, Newcastle International Airport said:

“We are delighted to see further investment from easyJet with the addition of Amsterdam, which has consistently been a popular city break destination from Newcastle Airport.

“The route provides even more choice for the North East travelling public alongside existing flights to Geneva, Palma, Alicante, Bristol, and Belfast.”

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
