Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will wave off their first flight to Bourgas from Bristol Airport this afternoon (Tuesday 7th May), when their inaugural flight to Bulgaria departs.

The busy flight will mark the start of the leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator giving local customers a taste of Bulgaria by operating weekly Tuesday services to Bourgas from Bristol Airport until 8th October 2024.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are further expanding their programme later this month from Bristol Airport, as their inaugural flight to Costa de Almeria will depart on 26th May 2024, offering weekly Sunday services until 3rd November 2024. This will be followed by their first flight to Izmir on 27th May, marking the start of weekly Monday services to the Turkish region until 28th October 2024.

Whether it is relaxing on Sunny Beach, enjoying an action-packed day at the waterpark or making the most of the nightlife scene, Bulgaria (Bourgas) makes the ideal summer getaway destination for all ages. The Black Sea Coast offers charming diversity between the traditional Bulgarian settings in its quaint towns paired with inviting beachfront resorts.

For an authentic slice of Spain, Costa de Almeria boasts unspoiled beaches, desert landscapes and mountain peaks, ideal for appreciating the natural beauty of the Southern region. This relaxed destination is perfect for sun worshippers and lovers of local cuisine seeking a laidback escape along its Blue Flag beaches and cobbled streets.

Situated in West Turkey along its Turquoise Coast, the exciting region of Izmir presents seaside fun at its array of picturesque harbours, powdery sands and beachfront bars. Nods to Turkey’s rich tradition are dotted around the region, with charming old town walls hosting Turkish tavernas and bustling bars as well as epic ancient ruins on the doorstep.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are offering a huge programme for Summer 24, with 34 sun and city destinations on sale from Bristol Airport. This offers local customers and independent travel agents with unrivalled choice and flexibility when it comes to booking or enjoying a much-needed getaway to their favourite summer destinations.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are delighted to be waving off our first flight to Bulgaria (Bourgas) from Bristol Airport and look forward to seeing our inaugural flights to Costa de Almeria and Izmir take off from the airport base later this month too. The addition of these stunning holiday destinations has proven to be extremely popular with customers and independent travel agents looking for glorious sunshine alongside that authentic cultural experience. Bourgas, Costa de Almeria and Izmir are fantastic additions to our enormous Summer 24 programme from Bristol Airport, and it means we are extending our popular costal holiday offerings significantly for locals in the South West. As the UK’s largest tour operator, we are giving customers and independent travel agents unrivalled choice when it comes to enjoying a holiday from Bristol Airport this Summer 24, with award-winning customer experience on top.”

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
