Total pax - 1,494,105
+16% compared to May 2023
This total being the highest ever recorded pax number for May. To give a comparison, May 2019 - 1,380,326. May 2024 - approx +8.24%.
Certain routes saw substantial increase in pax numbers compared to May 23.
A few examples being:-
Doha - 29,074 +54%
Milan - 10,232 +121%
Munich - 12,056 +71%
Stockholm - 12,216 +65%
Helsinki - 5,937 +18%
Prague - 12,548 +85%
Poznan - 7,814 +136%
Budapest - 12,837 +61%
Calgary - 6,049 +82%
Atlanta - 3,068 +20%
Chicago - 9,089 +15%
Copenhagen - 28,171 +35%
Some approx LF’s stats for the long haul routes. Caveat - Some UA flights were cancelled in May. JFK route was operated by two carriers towards the end of May. To give an approx LF for DL route, I have made an assumption that JetBlue LF was around 75%. The calc therefore for DL is based on an estimated number of pax carried by JetBlue on their 144 capacity 21N. Other carriers such as Hainan also had a cancellation in May.
