I recently flew Edelweiss Air short-haul Business Class on what is normally a very quick sector, and it turned out to be more interesting than I expected.
This was a 90-minute flight from Zurich (ZRH) to Naples (NAP) on an A320, and I decided to take a paid Business Class upgrade to see whether Edelweiss’ leisure-focused operation delivers anything meaningfully different up front.
In the video, I walk through the experience from check-in to landing, covering the lounge at ZRH, boarding, seat and cabin layout, catering, service style, and overall comfort. Edelweiss is often seen as Switzerland’s leisure carrier, so I was curious whether their Business product punches above its weight, and whether this is the kind of upgrade that actually makes sense when offered at check-in.
For those interested in the details:
Route: ZRH–NAP
Aircraft: Airbus A320-200 (HB-JLT)
Cabin: Business Class
Flight time: 1h 39m
Cost: £126.72 one-way economy fare + £109 Business Class upgrade
Full video here:
Interested to hear others’ experiences with Edelweiss short-haul Business, particularly on similar sub-2-hour routes - worth it, or not in your view?
