This week, I take you through the full Air France Premium Economy experience: the cabin, the seat, the sleep quality, the service, the food, and all the little details that made this flight both better — and occasionally more confusing — than expected.

What I can say for certain is that Air France have absolutely nailed seat comfort in Premium Economy. I managed a proper stretch of sleep on this red-eye, which is a rarity for me in this cabin. But then you’ve got moments like American jam and a basic bread roll for breakfast… on a French flag carrier… landing in Paris — the home of the croissant. A small detail, yes, but definitely a missed opportunity.

So is Air France Premium Economy worth the money? Would I pay a premium? Or is it only worth it if you snag a last-minute airport upgrade like I did?

Aircraft: Airbus A350-900 (F-HUVF)
Cabin: Premium Economy
Flight Time: 7 hours, 15 minutes
Cost: 12,000 Virgin Points + $163.60 (Taxes/Fees) + £288.00 (Upgrade)

Flew it back in 2017 from MSP-CDG on their A340. Was a really lovely flight, also at the time it wasn't that expensive when compared to economy.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
