We're back in Brazil and in this video, I take you onboard LATAM's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for a widebody flight from SĆ£o Paulo to Santiago, a journey of just a few hours, but one that promises a long-haul experience on a short-haul route.
From check-in to boarding, and of course the full onboard experience, Iāll show you exactly what itās like flying LATAMās Dreamliner in economy including the seat, legroom, inflight entertainment, and the all-important meal service. Thereās a lot to like here⦠great service, solid catering, and the comfort of a widebody really does make a difference. But itās not without its issues with delays and confusing communication along the way, including a vast array of different departure and boarding times.
So, is this one of the best ways to fly across South America? And does the Dreamliner live up to the hype on a short sector?
š Route: SĆ£o Paulo Guarulhos (GRU) to Santiago (SCL)
āļø Aircraft: Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (CC-BGI)
šŗ Cabin: Exclusivo+ (Bulkhead Economy)
ā Flight Time: 3 hours, 14 minutes
šµ Cost: 6,200 Avios + Ā£96.60 (Taxes/Fees)
