Join me as I fly from Los Angeles to the Hawaiian island of Maui in Economy Class aboard Delta Air Lines’ Boeing 767-300.
The ageing 767 was once the backbone of Delta’s long-haul fleet, but how does its Economy product compare with the airline’s newer aircraft, and is it still a comfortable way to reach paradise?
The experience certainly had its ups and downs, but the aircraft was clean and comfortable, the flight operated on time, and the crew remained friendly and efficient. Most reassuringly, when things did go wrong, the team worked hard to resolve them rather than allowing the problems to define the journey.
So, has Delta’s Boeing 767-300 still got what it takes, or has time finally caught up with one of the airline’s most familiar widebody aircraft?
📍 Route: Los Angeles (LAX) to Kahului, Maui (OGG)
✈️ Aircraft: Boeing 767-300 (N1605)
💺 Cabin: Economy
⌛ Flight Time: 5 hours, 12 minutes
💵 Cost: $238.70 (one-way cash ticket)
