The ACL report for Start of Summer 2026 is now available and I have taken the liberty of producing the following synopsis.

Season Comparison by Operator

Note -
The ACL report shows Aer Lingus as just one line, I have broken the information down into the 3 component companies who have been operating from Manchester. The change by myself has created a problem with the percentage Movements and Seats calculation and I'm not certain - at present as to how to alter it. The ACL report shows, for the combined carriers, a change of -1% for movements and -24% for seats..

Interesting potential new carriers are Riyadh Air and SpiceJet, but whether they will actually commence services this summer is rather dubious.

As will always be the case, there are some routes where the slot applications can/have changed.

The individual airline data needs a deeper investigation and hopefully having delved that bit deeper you will find the following of interest.

As always, this is just my interpretation and is subject to clarification and confirmation.

Eurowings for an example appear to have a 1% reduction of movements to Dusseldorf, a 32% reduction to Hamburg, but a 7% increase to Stuttgart.

City Airlines are down by 18 movements, or 116 seats, on Munich, however Lufthansa, on the same route are 43 movements and 16,500 seats.

Lufthansa to Frankfurt however have a a reduction of 333 movements (21%) or 48,508 seats (18%).

The big hitters are easyJet with a total increase of 1,010 movements and 313,089 seats, whilst Ryanair have 3,159 extra movements, or 634,996 seats. TUI increase by 4% or 382 movements and seats up by 146,373 and Jet2 up by 699 movements or 307,838 seats
Virgin seem to have increased seats to Atlanta by 11% and Orlando by 9% , however New York seats are reduced by 3% and Las Vegas down by 5%.

Lufthansa have said they will be cutting a flight a day from 50 European destinations

Thanks @Scottie Dog as always for your valuable info and analysis 👏

I have a group holiday to Tenerife in June with TUI, the return flight doesn’t depart Tenerife until 22:35 at night at arrives at MAN the following morning at 2:35. What are the chances of these flight times changing? Or can I now assume that they are set in stone?
I didn’t book the flights myself and don’t envy these times, so I tempted to change them to a more suitable time earlier on in the day, but want to be sure the slots are now confirmed and TUI won’t change the times…?

Sorry I can't help on that one, however I would expect it to stay at booked.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
