Lufthansa Group’s Discover Airlines has officially announced its first-ever service into England, adding Bristol Airport to its European network for Summer 2027.
The German leisure carrier will launch a direct connection to its main hub in Germany.

  • Frankfurt (FRA): Launches May 20272x weekly (Mondays & Thursdays)
The route will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft. Because Discover is fully integrated into the Lufthansa Group distribution network, passengers will benefit from full interline/codeshare functionality, opening up 1-stop global connections via Frankfurt alongside inbound tourist traffic into the South West.

While a 2x weekly schedule is clearly tailored toward leisure and regional connectivity rather than high-frequency business travel, securing a non-stop link into Lufthansa’s primary mega-hub is a notable win for BRS’s route development team.

Shame it’s looking like it might be summer only as well.

The Thursday flight time might as well render connections dead it gets into Frankfurt so late.

Very pleased it’s back but you can for sure tell it’s for outbound passengers from Frankfurt.

Hopefully it does well and they add extra flights for 2028.

Would be nice if they reintroduced their Liverpool link, with Discover Airlines.

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
