Flybe Rotterdam now bookable

BE1931 MAN 0700 RTM 0930
BE1932 RTM 0955 MAN 1030

Monday to Saturday

BE1935 MAN 1630 RTM 1900
BE1936 RTM 1925 MAN 1950

Monday to Friday

Sunday shows 2 flights to Rotterdam (1440 and 1850) but only 1 return at 2100, so not quite sure what that's all about?

Possibly more new routes to come from Flybe, as there will be an extra E-195, or 2 based from March 2016. This is extra to what was already based.

Owe to watch.

Exeter

The EXT-MAN Flybe link was mentioned this week in another airport thread as the route carries (on the face of it) a disproportionately high number of EXT passengers (nearly 13% of its whole in September for example).

I suggested that the reason it does so well is that the EXT flights link into MAN's Flybe network. I wonder if anyone has any knowledge or even an educated guess as to the proportion of EXT passengers that do transfer into the Flybe network at MAN, and for that matter into the Etihad code share or even non Flybe-related airlines.

The Manchester Airport wiki page says flights to Bournemouth will end on March 27.

I would usually believe this straightaway, people who post information like this are usually in the know, but there is an issue—the link cited in support of this information is a BBC news article about their return to Bournemouth back in 2014. It doesn't mention the flights stopping at all and is therefore a complete non sequitur. So can anyone on here confirm or debunk?

Indeed, as of the announcement of the Summer 16 schedule, flybe announced they were closing their operations from Bournemouth with the loss of all routes!

Cardiff?

There is a discussion on the Dried Plum suggesting that Flybe will launch a 6 x weekly Manchester-Cardiff service in May using E175 aircraft.

If this is confirmed I would think that the most useful aspect would be MAN's many Flybe connecting flights. A similar service from EXT up to 3 x daily seems to have been very successful with 109,000 passengers using it in 2014.

Manchester-Cardiff route on Flybe expected to be announced on Monday.

Any news?

It's due soon, it is happening but just not announced at the time we thought it was.

Also posted on 2016 thread.

Why would Air India set up a code share with an airline whose biggest base by a country mile at 14 + has no Air India connections ?

The BHX service seems meagre at 3 ?
That's not to know BHX btw it just seems hardly worth it.

Do they know something we don't ?

I think it is a good deal for Flybe, Air India and BHX.

I'm sure Flybe would like to expand their MAN connections further (I don't think they have agreements with Singapore, Emirates or Qatar but am not sure?).

It's going to be interesting to see how the MAN flying programme will be sorted now that VLM has ceased operating,

Looks like we've gained a new ski route - Chambery weekly from 20th December until 3rd January on Tuesdays then from 8th January it's a Sunday service.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
