Norwich is staying as that's a Loganair route. The Inverness route is going to ERJ145s from 3rd July per the Loganair website

The new Southend service will be operated by ATR72s:

London Southend – Manchester 18 weekly ATR72

Flybe have posted a decent set of results.

The good news is that it shows it's strategy is working, and the feeder concept looks likely to stay.

The bad news is that some of it is down to cutting capacity (presume that excludes the loganair split) so we are unlikely to see the massive amount of slots applied for being taken up.

I see Flybe have canned Cardiff-LCY.

Assuming they don't intend to add more Manchester-Glasgow capacity, what price MAN-CWL - finally?

Could be a possibility but the aircraft is rotated through BHD so they might just tweek the schedule or add some more BHD flights. It's going to be a case of wait and see.

Alitalia (AZ) will code-share on @Flybe routes linking Italy with UK regions. But AZ's future is in doubt.

Flybe are telling people via social media that while BHX-LUX has come to an end, MAN-LUX will be available next summer.

Quietly, I think the level of busyness of BE (whether feeding long haul or otherwise) is a quiet triumph. Lets hope they continue to grow at MAN - with Longnair and the rest - to feed the growing long haul operation here.

Flybe tend to be unoticed in their day to day operations among the more glamorous operators but do a valuable job with their code shares and connectivity acting as a type of glue at their hubs MAN,BHX etc.

On recent trip we had a conversation with a family who had flown from Belfast to Bhx to join a TUI flight to the Caribbean as it was the best option for them.

I agree i think they are an under rated airline. They provide vital connections for airports and passengers that airlines like Ryanair BA and Easyjet don't and probably never will.

Do we have a any idea how their LHR flights are doing ?

I thought these might gave diverted traffic away which "might" have used Manchester away to Heathrow given the larger choice but heard nothing re demand etc.

I would have thought they would have been shouting any success from the rooftops by now !

I've just got started on booking my programme of bargain flying trips for 2018. Couldn't help but notice how cheap flights to "London" Southend are ... I hope they succeed. I've only booked a one-way (£25.99) on the Stobart ATR72, as I'm returning from LCY on the CityFlyer E190 for £17.50 plus 4000 Avios. Decent looking accommodation in Southend (one night) for £37.50. All-in trip cost £80.99 plus 4000 Avios for early Thursday AM to late Friday PM. Two usable days.

Worth thinking about? Easy access to London if preferred to Southend.

Note: if you're considering booking this route, be advised that it appears under 'L for London' on the dropdown list. It will always be plain Southend to me!

Flybe to Luxumburg will continue to be a year round flight.

They are loaded into Chroma already, and Luxumburg airport have just told a follower via Twitter that the winter schedule will be announced very soon.

It also looks like flybe are about to announce another new route, as BE13/14 Dash 8 flight loaded into Chroma as destination 'ZZF', which is their placeholder code when they don't want people to know the destination.

After their profits warning yesterday, it looks as if S18 schedules are loaded, or in the process of being loaded.

No Luxembourg flights for Mon Fri dates in June I tried. Milan is daily - was it 2 x daily at one time. Hanover also daily.

EDI 4 x daily and GLA 3 x daily as is EXE.

I say daily, but only checked Mon out Fri return.

No doubt someone will get a firmer fix on changes from this summer incl. the Loganair impact

Just wondering what everyone thinks about BE at the moment. They have a whacking great portfolio of codeshares at MAN, where they are about to get a brand new transfer facility and their airline partners keep adding new capacity.

I don't know quite how their European p2p offering is doing, but I do wonder if they see a need for a new aircraft.

In my mind, the CS series feels like a good fit and an upgrade from the Embracier.

I wonder if BE will pull something out of the hat like an order or restructure to take advantage of their increased connecting opportunities and niche routes in the market.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
