Icelandair operate a nice fleet of 11 x B757-200WL and 1 x B757-300WL.

How often to they operate to MAN from Keflavik?

Of late, seems like Icelandair have increased their services at MAN, normally using a Boeing 757-200 with the occasional visit of their single B757-300 to operating a daily service to KEF.

The airline offers further connections to the USA, at very reasonable prices.

Icelandair, from september, will be de-linking MAN and GLA to offer a 3 weekly each non-stop service to both destinations.

MAN will be served on Mon, Wed and Fri with a B757.

Nice to see we wont have to stop at GLA, and likewise, all GLA pax wont have to get off at MAN and re-enter security, just to reboard the same plane!

The entry of Easyjet on MAN-KEF seems not to have harmed Icelandair, as GDS is showing flights will increase from 3 to 4 weekly, with new flights on Sundays from next March.

Sundays flights in website booking engine from 6th September.

Whilst Icelandair will be 4 weekly from 6th September 2015, 18-30 October will see 5 weekly flights, with an extra flight on Thursdays.

4 weekly also operates Feb/Mar/Apr too next year. Seems Icelandair are adding capacity as and when they need it.

Icelandair is now 5 weekly for the entire winter 2015/2016 season. Was initially just 5 weeklyfor 18-30 Oct with the remaining tme 4 weekly.
Flights run Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun

For the period 18-30 Oct, the flights will be 6 weekly, which runs every day bar Thursday.

Icelandair are getting quite a nice offering ex-MAN now.....

Icelandair have updated their schedule and now shows they will be 5 weekly for Most of the winter, but daily for Feb/Mar and 1st week of April before dropping back down to 5 weekly.

They had previously intended to operate at 6 weekly for February only, so, is a decent increase.

With the great increase in cargo flights into MAN this year,i wonder if Icelandair cargo would ever consided operating flights from MAN ?.They do operate out of EMA and thought MAN might have a chance with EMA being a MAG airport.Or is there enough room for cargo on their passenger flights.

Now they are up to daily this winter, wonder what the bets are for 9-10 weekly next winter as natural progression.

Incredible to think the amount of US service we have that Icelandair is still reaping rewards with Tatl connections.

Routesonline reporting their service to be 5 weekly from early May to early September compared to the variable frequency this year

Reykjavik Keflavik – Manchester 04MAY17 – 06SEP17 Increase from 3 to 5 weekly, compared to same period in 2016

That was the wording on the Breaking News page.
I don't know whether that is correct but Icelandair do vary frequencies quite a lot seasonally. It seems from previous posts that the highest frequencies are in winter but I'm not sure how they vary within the Spring/Summer period.

It seems to be causing confusion so let me break it down.

At the start of last summer, Icelandair were 3 weekly M/W/F.

Half way-ish through summer, a 4th flight on Sunday's was added.

In the winter months, the strongest time for O&D to Iceland, both Icelandair and Easyjet offer daily flights.

For next summer, the flight is 5 weekly all summer.

The winter seasonal daily flight, seems to continue daily into next summer. Great news if so!

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
