Im betting with the tui and wizz news this week and increased jet2 and ryanair next year(plus other strong rumours im hearing) we could overtake the likes of LPL and NCL in pax figures next year!
Pretty sure LBA has been ahead of LPL for most of, or maybe all if this year. It suffered from all those easyJet cancellations in Spring.

Now winter is looking like the strongest in a long time due to Wizz, a strong FR program, Flybe & easy back & Jet2 operating their usual. positive. Hopefully the winter will be nice to us..!
I have everything crossed the weather will be as kind as the schedule as the Wizz timings in many cases are just the sorts of times the weather can cause havoc at LBA!

Yeah we previously got them from DSA so absolutely no reason why not - space permitting of course
And Swissport permitting too!

Jet2 ground handling could make a fortune at LBA if they took on handling for the other airlines during the quiet winter period for Jet2 themselves. Seems a shame having staff under utilised some days when Swissport are running around like idiots trying to cope with more flights than they are staffed to handle. And all they get for doing so is stick from disgruntled passengers!

Obviously Swissport are still short staffed but they seem to have more people now than a few months ago. It’s also been a while since I’ve seen any of their aircraft waiting at stands to be Marshalled in so suggests an improvement in staffing.

Good to see that LBA carried more monthly passengers than both EMA and LPL. Yearly running total is almost as much as EMA and not far behind LPL. With the addition of Wizz, the winter statistics which tend to dip more than competitor airports, will hopefully now hold up and we have the potential to carry more annual passengers and move up the CAA airport list.

I'm wondering how much closer to 5m Wizz and Tui will bring us.

LBAYORKE I think the combined annual seats will be about 500k for Wizz and Tui, so with other extras from Jet2 and Ryanair, it may be possible. I suppose it’ll depend on the economy and inflation, as people will have other priorities to think about such as winter fuel bills.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
