It's good to have this service back, and with yet another different airline. It's also good for CWL to have a variety of airlines, and not be dependant on one main domestic carrier as in the recent past.

Prices should be more reasonable with Aer Lingus as well! Hopefully the route can grow to at least a daily flight! Will be nice to see the Aer Lingus livery back at Cardiff on a regular basis!

Looking ahead and the route is onsale for winter 2022/23 as well. There's also a flight on Xmas day. 5 weekly same as summer.

It's nice to have some good news at last from both Aer Lingus and Vueling, let's hope things will get even better with the new route developement manager at the helm.

Good that this route will be restarting this week, but I'm puzzled why they haven't given much notice (just over a week) before they start. Any thoughts?

Yes it is short notice, maybe they had slots free up so were able to launch the route? Maybe they were planning to launch the route as a winter route but were able to launch it early?

I agree with Jerry's thought that maybe launching the route was on their minds but slot availabilty / retention was an issue that forced them to launch earlier thn intended.

Could possibly be something to do with taking delivery of a new aircraft earlier than anticipated…?! Who knows.

Looks like Cardiff dodged a bullet with Aer Lingus taking the Belfast route as Flybe have cancel quite a few routes at Belfast City that they are putting down to late aircraft deliveries.

Nice to see Belfast City and Aer Lingus back on the departure boards!

Not sure if it's been noted on here anywhere, but the Christmas & NY period sees a daily BHD service from Boxing Day until 3 January 2023.

It then reverts back to 5 x weekly (no flight on Tue and Wed) until the end of the W22/23 season.

That's not too bad considering the short lead up to it's launch.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
