Is it me or is BOJ starting later then usual? now June

Yeah the start of summer 2024 Bourgas programme has been delayed by 1 week.

I don't see them taking any seat. Don't think Jet2 would allow them to given they sell Jet2holidays to BOJ. It's direction competition and doesn't in my eyes make business sense.

Not with Jet2. None of their 733s are 30 years old being new in the 1996-8 period, so all in their mid to late 20s.

Any money on which of the two would be better maintained though? I know where my money is! But as WH says all a bit younger than that

Probably won't happen I agree but if it gives both an opportunity to increase capacity, frequency and flexibility without needing to sell a whole aircraft then perhaps never say never

Well give it another 18 months and if plans haven’t change by then Jet2 might not have any Boeing 737-300’s based at LBA as they all could become coke cans.

I really hope for Balkan Holidays survival on the Leeds - Bourgas route they retain their own charter flight operation instead of taking seats on Scheduled flights by other operators eg Jet2. Wizz Air or even Ryanair

Agreed. We need the variety of operators, aircraft and airlines.

Rumour is 2 of the LS B733s are destined for the European Register as F-IZZY and D-RINK!!

Just to clarify it’s because the first flight is sold out, not because the season has been shortened. When I flight is fully booked it’s removed from sale, so it’s not a case of low numbers. I should add I know this because I spoke to Balkan to ask if I could book a holiday in May.

Cant see anything on BOJ dep/arrivals but can LBA. FR24 not showing anything either. You would expect them to start for Spring Bank

Arguably less risky than a spanking brand new 737 max.

Who remembers seeing these TU154s depart runway 14 from the cemetery rd end! Full power thrust holding the tu154 on the brakes blowing away the land behind! The noise was incredible but beautiful!

I always loved the weekend morning flight which often arrived early so ATC would stick her in the hold at 3000ft (over adel) to wake everyone up before it could land at 07:00.
