Re: Omaga Holdays - New route to Naples

Good news indeed. Would love to see Cityflyer back at LBA, even if just for a few flights.

Re: Omaga Holdays - New route to Naples

Nice to see a completely new route to Naples, even if it is only the 3 flights each way. Hopefully it will do well and we will see more next year and maybe more from Omaga Holidays (or should that be Omega??)

Good news but is it me or are them turnaround times in naples somewhat short?

I remember once flying on a BA liveried 737 from LBA to god knows where because I forgot. I think it operated for 2 Summer seasons. It was quite posh compared to a normal charter flight. I seem to remember the aircraft was based in Birmingham with an airline that BA took over. It could have been Maersk. Can anyone put me out of my misery.

Hi

Yeah can comfirm it must have been around early 2000's before Jet2 arrvived on the sence. As I seem to remeber that like you say Brimingham based Maresk Air use to run a weekly Saturday afternoon departure for Avro (Flight Only Agent) to Faro-Algarve with Boeing 737's in full British Airways livery from LBA.

Great news! Another for the spotters out there too... do you think the decision has been influenced by the recent snow problems leading to BA diversions into LBA?

Absolutely not. Airlines just don't work that way. BA and BA Cityflyer are not even the same airline. They both have separate operations and management. With weather it is just a needs must at the time.

I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
