Not a great start as it’s over an hour late leaving Palma. It’s been sat on the taxiway there for a while. Hopefully it’ll be on the move again soon.

Returning to stand!!?? Great

Tui First flight of season and it's gone tech, You just couldn't make this stuff up!

Any news that this has gone tech? Or maybe there was a poorly or unruly passenger? No need to jump to conclusions. I’m sure they’re doing their best.

The sad thing is when aircraft return to stand, or divert, the first thing anyone thinks of is that it is a technical issue and a problem with the aircraft. Whilst sometimes this is very true, sadly, on the whole it is due to other reasons such as ill crew (seriously unwell crew), ill passengers diverted upon the instruction of relevant operations department or what's known in the industry as Mediare (well documented in TV documentary about Emirates on Nat Geo) which have doctors who take calls from aircraft and advised based on symptoms, or is unruly passengers. Or military demands if your Ryanair.

Sadly however, just like the majority of other issues, the scum bag media have conditioned people to think the very worst. It's like the other day. It's out there on twitter and I saw this so I'll repeat in so much words. A Jet2 737-800 returned from flight back into Manchester due to Flight Control Issues. A few days later a TUI 737-8 MAX returned from flight into Manchester due to the same issue. Guess which one the uneducable vile press where bothered about?

I don’t think anyone is jumping to conclusions, as it’s the first flight of the season I highly doubt it was to take an ill passenger off as there won’t have been many of any aboard. Most likely it was tech. But was sorted in the end whatever the issue was and continued the flight.

maybe crew but even them they would have been fit to fly before the LBA flight.

Be easier if they just postponed the CFU flight. We know cruising isn’t going to happen this year. They are dragging it out for what? 2 week season? Not really worth it in my eyes.

So after 2 weeks of restarting ops out of LBA it looks like Tui have axed the Palma route for the remainder of the summer 2021 season. No flights or holidays are bookable now until May 3rd, 2022.

Not getting hopes up seen as its Tui, But the LBA - Corfu route is still bookable from September 3rd 2021. so we might still see the Tui livered aircraft return this summer..

Disappointing but not surprised / makes sense.. I'm more surprised they turned up in the first place to be fair!!

Looks like the aircraft is now going to Norwich instead.
They do holidays from Norwich to a few destinations in normal times. Whereas Leeds/Bradford is mainly for cruises so in that sense they would operate out of NWI rather then Leeds. Cruises are still in a difficult position like flights due to all the uncertainty so there won’t be many people heading to cruises that’s probably the reason to cancel the LBA flights and fly to NWI. We’ve got FR and LS so still plenty here but NWI only have TUI

Looks like Corfu won’t be operating this year as no flights available till next year.

No idea what’s going on with PMI as it’s saying there’s a flight tommorow and Sunday and then a flight everyday until the end of the month then nothing till next year. Unsure what’s happening there

There’s also Portugal as an option showing up for LBA but says “flights sold out” so I wonder if they might be thinking of flying to Faro in the future from LBA but unsure.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
