Here are the stats for January goo.gl/DnCk9c

The stats factor in the VY AGP and FR TFS diversions to BHX. It appears that they are not being included in the stats so have not been accounted for in CWL's statistics that I have produced.

Also don't' be completely alarmed by JER's poor LF. ( I know there are others that are worse though) BE added the Wednesday flights about 3 weeks before January, after they originally removed them for Jan as it is a quiet month. They obviously thought this flight needed to happen to rotate aircraft and crew. If the Wednesday flights didn't go ahead; the LF would have been a lot higher.

The Q400 is SOU based so it does make sense to rotate it through JER, i also believe DUB and GLA have been used as well.
Thanks for the figures.

Thanks very much again for the update Liam, it’s certainly appreciated but a lot on this forum as it gives an excellent analysis. any reason why Faro dived so much? Are flybe not operating as many flights there as last year?

While January would be the worst month out of them all for growth, it just proves CWL is still a very seasonal airport considering how well it can perform in the summer when it wants too.

Good to see Rome holding decent loads during Peak Winter. I’m just an aviation enthusiast in reality but I do predict this one to perform well this coming summer!

I believe it's only 1 weekly this year compared to 2 or 3 weekly last year.

The German routes seem to be doing ok as well. With Rome i wouldn't be surprised if in the long run it becomes daily.

2017 Annual Stats

CAA stats for the calendar year of 2017 are now published. Does anyone want to do them on the CWL Wikipage? Jerry perhaps? If not, I'll do them but it might take me a few days to get around to it.

If you would do it that'll be great. Otherwise I'll have a look at it later in the week. Thanks.

I've started on the BRS one. I'll have a look at CWL later next week unless you get the chance to do it beforehand.

Nice to see DUB on top for a change (six nations has done this of course).

Some decent increases. Rome seems to has nose dived? Presumbly there's less flights than last year? An annoying 10% decrease on Milan also.

Glasgow looking good and a nice increase on CDG.

The Six Nations is the reason for that.
An annoying 10% decrease on Milan also.
They seem to be slowly reducing Milan which is a shame, hopefully if Flybe base a 4th aircraft next year then they'll start increasing it again. The route i'm surprised with is Geneva as it's dropped by 22% yet they are going 2 weekly next year.
The airports growth for the quiet months has been good!

February, apart from in a leap year, is an accurate month to judge loads year on year (at any airport) because if for example a route is operated 2 x weekly, say on Mondays and Fridays, in 30 and 31 day months there might be five Mondays in the month last year but only four this year, and so on. That can make a difference when comparing months in successive years.

Next year in 2019. France and Italy are in February both away and Scotland and Ireland are in March. Scotland is away and Ireland is at home. England is the other home game and that is in February.

What is the reason for Bridgetown dropped by 73percent. If the route drops much more will become a worry.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
