Are people falling out of love with Türkiye? Or is it simply that holidays there aren’t as cheap as they have been in decades gone by?

Mainly AYT (and certainly not confined to CWL by any means!) but it seems figures for Türkiye are down across the board…

There was less flights to Antalya this year. No Freebird.

What these figures show is that that the demand is there when they put extra flights on some of the most popular routes Heraklion, Dublin and Malaga, have shown exceptional percentage increases.

Good to see demand holding up for the Amsterdam flights. I expect a drop in September (from 2024) with all the shenanigans at Schipol. (Or was that earlier this month ...?)
There's always shenanigans at Schiphol sadly. It is frustrating that Cardiff is doing well on 2 daily and it makes me wonder what the numbers would be like at 3 daily. It's an average of 78 passengers per flight and that's not accounting for cancellations. If that average was maintained for a 3rd daily flight CWL would be looking at an extra 4800 passengers for the month of August with the route around the 14,000 passenger mark for August. I really do hope CWL can persuade KLM to resume the 3rd daily flight even if just for the summer.

Really good numbers to Cyprus, with a 105% rise, perhaps TUI could consider running Cyprus year round without the nearly 3 month break in the winter, also its nice to see DUBLIN still rising, is it time for a twice daily service once or twice a week?

According to a post on Cardiff Airport Facebook page Cardiff Airport saw over 952,000 passengers use the airport in 2025 +8% on 2024.

With a further two months figures to come, they will well make a Million passengers for 2025, although CWL's figures are slightly more than Scottie Dogs monthly summary.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
