A passenger allegedly assaulted a crew member on this morning's easyJet flight from Bristol to Barcelona and was arrested on arrival at the Spanish airport. If convicted a serious punishment needs to be meted out. Apart from being unacceptable in itself the action could have had implications for the safe operation of the flight.

The return flight landed at BRS 70 minutes late which I think is impressive given the circumstances.

I just don’t know what’s wrong with people today, absolutely no respect or thought of what could of happened.

As you say tho impressive turn around by easyJet given the circumstances.

How is the I O M route doing. I ask as I noticed a A320 neo on the route Tuesday the 10th.Or is it a case of what Easy has about aircraft wise.

I presume it's doing all right because frequency has been increased from 2 to 3 xweekly for much of the coming winter.

See Severn's post of a few weeks ago linked below.

I travelled out to Bordeaux on Aug 13th. Did not pay much attention to the aircraft until i had to use the toilets. The configuration was different, toilets brand new and it dawned on me that this is a A321.

Severn would be the best person to ask but if it was an A321 I can only think it was standing in for another type. Seems odd though because Jethro is showing only six A321s in the easyJet fleet at present.

13 August was a Tuesday. Looking at next Tuesday's Bristol-Bordeaux flight the aircraft type is shown as a 320 in the seat selector. I'm wondering if you were actually on one of the 186-seat A320s. The rear configuration would be different from the older 180-seat 320s to accommodate the extra six seats.

Some of the Thomas cook A330 have toilets down stairs as to do this I would think they have taken part of the hold to do this. I wonder if the same thing could be done with the A320 aircraft. This would mean a few more seats added, and with the cost of doing this would it pay for doing.

That’s correct TLY, the 13th August was operated by a A320 with the new(ish) 186 seat config. All easyJet UK A320 and A320NEOs are now fitted with 186 seats.

The 186 seat config sees both aft bathrooms squeezed into the rear wall of the aircraft, along with the galley. The previous 180-seat versions had 1 bathroom on the back wall along with a larger galley, and one toilet in the cabin forward of the right rear door.

Yes both bathrooms on back wall. So much that it had to be pointed out to me that there us a vacant one. Nice toilets too as they were relatively new.

Flying back this sun from BOD. Wonder what aircraft it wil be.

Anyone interested in a photo of a top quality aircraft from BOD? It will be very off topic

Go on - we can justify it as part of your easyJet trip.:)

Good pics - thank you.

Bordeaux has many similarities with Bristol and, of course, Bordeaux is one of Bristol's twin cities. Has been since just after WW2. Many people through the generations will remember the Bristol-Bordeaux Exchange where schoolchildren spent time in the 'other' city.

Bordeaux has a bigger airport physcially than Bristol, with a 3,100-metre runway for starters which allows the 747s to visit. Its annual passenger throughput is less then BRS though at 6.8 million last year.

easyJet is one of Bordeaux Airport's main carriers (another similarity wth BRS), as are Ryanair (snap! again) and Volotea that has only paid occasional visits to BRS in the past on one-off flights.

BOD has a smaller terminal building called Billi about 200 metres from the main terminal. All low cost airlines operate out of this cramped building and the passenger experience is dire.

Unlike Bristol the public transport is quite good. Frequent buses to the city, 1.70 euros for a 30 min journey. Brilliant. So car parking is not a huge money spinner.

Main terminal has 2 sections A and B. A is entirely Air France and nicer looking. Its poorer cousin is B a few metres down the main building. Some Ryanair fly from here too.

In the main terminal the departures area is not a duty free and shopping/eatery trap. Just 4 to 5 shops. Arrivals in both terminals is dire. Old and crumbling.

The low-cost terminal sounds like the one at Barcelona which I used a few years ago when flying with easyJet to Bristol.

Any cancellations or problems with EZY due to the spanish floods? I believe there was a travel advisory issued by the UK FCO

I'm just about to post something in the Delays, Diversions and cancellations thread. A couple of cancellations this morning with easyJet.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
