The thing here is, that those 'in the know' are (understandably) not saying who the airline is. The same people are stating which airlines its not (from posts of other members). So, if someone guesses the right airline, how do those 'in the know' respond? Silence or 'no comment' would let the cat out of the bag. The alternative is to say that the correctly guessed airline is wrong. Has this already happened?

I like your train of thought.

Reading back it seems BrumX's idea of LOT Polish Airlines passed without comment and to be fair it seems to fit the bill - an airline new to BHX, an airline that doesn't fly to MAN, four new long haul aircraft on order. Given that you can fly a Norwegian airline from Ireland to America so whose to say you can't fly a Polish one from the UK to the US?

Three new North American routes would be a tough ask so I'd imagine there would have to be some onward connections needed; for arguments sake if the two US destinations were Newark and Chicago you'd benefit from Star Alliance connections at the other end, if the third destination is Canada the same can be applied there.

I know I'm wrong....:)

Scrap that I've just read the above post!

So an airline new to the transatlantic market suddenly jumping in and launching three North American routes from BHX? And with all the well known U.K. airlines/brands ruled out I have my doubts already!

Only an airline with deep pockets could do this - one of the ME3 perhaps?

Do we mean new to TATL flying from the UK, or an airline that has never sent passenger aircraft across the atlantic, be it from the UK to US, France to US, or South Africa to South America?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
