A little bit like the Blue Air ‘Glitch ‘ very odd !
I still find that very strange indeed
When I checked at lunchtime yesterday all dates for BRS-CGN from and including Wednesday through till the end of next summer were showing 'no flights' on the calendar so it was impossible to do a test booking. I checked some other BRS routes and they were ok. I checked several times over the course of an hour with the same result for CGN.

Jerry said they were still available on his App. I use an iMac desktop. I tried the FR booking engine using my usual Safari browser and with Google Chrome but with the same result.

At teatime I tried again and the flights were back only to disappear later in the evening. I've checked several times today and they've been on sale each time.

Our local grandson and his mates are booked on the flight on 22 November and they've had no communication from Ryanair. Furthermore, tomorrow's fight is shown on the BRS departures board.

I can't think that my computer was somehow the problem. There must have been a glitch. I'll keep an eye on it over the next few days. If it's a persistent problem albeit intermittent they are going to lose some bookings.

Yes I think it's replacing castellon. Also flown on a Valencia based aircraft too.

And that begs the question of where are they going to send the BRS based aircraft to?

Ryanair used to fly to Valencia until September 2015 when they decided to switch to nearby Castellon. The new Castellon airport had to wait four years after its formal opening in 2011 before the first regular scheduled services began - from STN and BRS with Ryanair.

According to Wiki the only regular flights are Blue Air to Bucharest and Ryanair to Stansted, Bristol, Poznan and Sofia with the last three being seasonal. Because it was open with no regular flights for those years it was referred to as a ghost airport. Does anyone know if the other Ryanair routes are being withdrawn too?

Well it looks like at the moment that the other routes will continue.

RYR Christmas Increases

Looking at the 2 weeks in December leading up up to Christmas, Ryanair has increased flights on 10 of the 20 routes they operate. There will be 12 extra rotations between the 11th-24th December. Ryanair don't fly on Christmas Day, however extra flights have also been fit into the six days from Boxing Day to NYE. In fact, the six days between the 26th and 31st of December sees only one less flight than the full first week of December!

Below shows the flights per week on each route for the
weeks starting 4th Dec / 11th Dec / 18th Dec :
(Note. The flights operating in the week of the 4th Dec is the same number throughout the winter period)

Cologne

Fare prices seem to be picking up which ought to be a good sign and when I've checked the seat selector the seat occupancy seems to be pretty good. Not consistently in the eastern European routes range yet but it's building and November is always going to be a difficult month for a new route. Tomorrow's outbound shows 10 empty seats at present (just under 95% lf). Friday 1st December outbound and Friday 15th December outbound are both sold out already.

Further to the above re Cologne, December seems to be an excellent month with prices for tomorrow, Wednesday, Sunday week, Monday week all showing £211.99 as is Friday 22 December. Next Friday has been sold out for a while.

Seat selector shows recent flights sold out or nearly so which reflects the high fare prices in the days ahead. Tomorrow is currently 11 empty seats which number will fall as the evening progresses if the normal pattern is followed.

January and February are still showing a lot of £9.99 fare days but even in January some days are already showing £40.99.

Athens is appearing on the drop down list from Bristol all of a sudden - was not there earlier today - new route ?

Isn't Easyjet launching Athens as a new route in summer 18? 2 carriers on a new route? Athens only comes up on the app not the website.

Athens (easyJet) already started, began at the beginning of November 2 x weekly. Very good loads, some flights have been sold out.

Looks like Ryanair have decided to get in on the act maybe.

It be strange if the airport is happy to have two carriers on the Athens route but discouraging competition on other routes that warrant choice such as Rome

They probably won't discourage competition as long as it comes from existing carriers.

Athens is now changed to a one stop connection via Milan bergamo along with several other Italian destinations

Announced on social media today (Spanish language sites ) that both Alicante and Palma go to ten weekly next summer. They haven't been put on sale yet but are available to see on the desktop site. Still no Bergerac , reus or zadar. Are they dropped ?

Reus and Bergerac were both loaded late for summer 16 and summer 17 although by now they were loaded in those previous years. In summer 17 Reus and Bergerac only began operations in June.

For what it's worth their monthly load factors were a bit mixed in summer 17:

Reus: June-September respectively 87% 90% 95% 75%
Bergerac:June-September respectively 87% 90% 94% 79%

Reus was slightly better in summer 17 than in summer 16 except for September, and Bergerac was several points better each month in summer 17 than in summer 16.

Zadar only began in summer 17 and, again, its load factors were a bit mixed:
May-September respectively 73% 90% 86% 90% 85%

We don't know yields of course and Ryanair has axed routes with higher load factors than this in the past and kept routes with lower ones with Knock being one example.

Knock: May-September respectively 73% 79% 86% 93% 83% in summer 17 which is actually noticeably up on previous recent summers.

Has anyone heard when Ryanair will officially release their full summer programme from Bristol. The reason why I ask is in response to various readings on social media sites today suggesting that 1) the airport has not received the full listings yet and 2) rumours of six based aircraft ? I also note that Bergerac zadar and reus are still not released .

I've heard nothing - I'm not into social media so I don't hear that sort of chat.

All I would say, and this is a reprise of part of a post I've just submitted to 2018 Predictions thread, is that six based aircraft would mean either more routes or increased frequencies on existing routes (or a combination of both), or those routes operated by non-based aircraft switched to based aircraft which would throw the already announced timetable into some disarray.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
