They are both part of the same group - Airline investment group- owned by the Bond Brothers. They are apparently going to be working closer together after the BE split.

Thanks for that info ca4, i honestly did not know they were part of the same group. That explains it all then :cautious:

Does current Birmingham-Inverness demand warrant a new x3 daily service?
Check out the busiest routes for Inverness.Well behind Luton Manchester and Bristol. There must be a lot of of passengers within that triangle for who'm BHX is more convenient at the right price.
BHX figures are not that far ahead of Belfast City.

Good to see the airport and BMIR getting involved in promoting trade links between Birmingham and Nuremberg :)

Was just looking on Wikipedia and noticed someone had edited the page to say bmi regional were ending Nurenburg.

Looking at various GDS and the bmi site, it unfortunately appears to be true. The last direct flight appears to be 4th December, and then a gap until 8th Jan, when all flights are then via Brussels.

GOT and GRZ appear unaffected.

I don't think all these one season wonders can be helping the airport's public reputation. Another city link lost. More potential headlines for the local rag methinks.

At least bmi will now have an aircraft free to start Oslo if they're still planning to do so

However Oslo to me sounds like a silly route for an airline like Bmi Regional.

Yes but from the latest news BHX is starting to go into different markets that we have never been in before. We even have flights to YYZ all year round so all these NEW developments are good news.

Hopefully the airport can recover quite quickly and get back on track.

Ive just realised im writing all this on a Bmiregional thread.

BACK ON TOPIC, lol

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
