All these unusual flights by big airliners make me nervous - reminds me of the Monarch saga

Was due to bad weather in Canada departed 5hrs late due in 1215 going on 84C, getting fuel and a fresh crew then continuing onto Frankfurt

Bit more to this i think. Left Canada knowing the crew were were short of hours ? Check it's holding pattern over BHX on FR24.
They could have been in Frankfurt before landing at BHX

sorry to burst your bubble but Condor was circling BHX for 15 mins the flight time to FRA is over an hour, it doesn't matter if it could of got back to Frankfurt, the crew had gone out of hours over the Midlands which means the aircraft would of had to land, continuing to Frankfurt would of put the crew in danger of losing their jobs from CAA rules and put the passengers safety in danger, landing at BHX is safer for a fuel stop and a fresh crew than it would be to continue to Germany. No more or no less to this story the crew went out of hours and had to land

A landing aircraft ahead of Condor suffered a bird strike so Condor circled to allow the clean up operation to take place.

I was wandering why it was circling for a while, did 3 passes right over my house for which I'm very grateful to the bird for making the ultimate sacrifice for.
