Toulouse-Blagnac Airport is well used by winter sports enthusiasts seeking the slopes in the Pyrenees in France, Spain and Andorra.

In addition the route could prove useful for the business community involved with Broughton and Airbus projects.

Ali Gayward, UK country manager for easyJet, said: “We now offer 32 destinations from the airport and have seen sustained expansion in recent months. Toulouse is a fantastic destination which will appeal to those seeking a short break or visiting friends and family.

“We continue to see an increased number of travellers looking to fly with easyJet on routes from LJLA and with affordable fares and a short flight time to the South of France, we’re confident that this new service will prove popular with those flying from the North West.”

The Toulouse route will be the fourth new service opened by easyJet from Liverpool during 2018. Paul Winfield, director of aviation development at LJLA, added: ‘’We are delighted to welcome this new four times weekly service to Toulouse.

“The service will be popular with passengers travelling to Toulouse and the South West France region, and will provide a strong schedule for the business community, with operators such as Airbus located in Broughton.”

Airbus has a charter that flies between Toulouse and Hawarden i believe, i'm wondering if they'll use this flight more now.

Yes they do I think, I don't know how often , but maybe BAe has had something to do with the new EZY service.

Eastern has the contract for the Airbus corporate shuttle (it used to be bmi regional, now flybmi). As with bmi regional Eastern uses ER4 aircraft.

The flights invariably operate Hawarden-Bristol-Toulouse and there are several each weekday. easyJet has long had a daily TLS flight from BRS (4/6 weekly in winter) but that hasn't stopped Airbus using its shuttle. There are no Wed or Fri flights from LPL either.

I think it could still be used by them BAe at Harwarden and local contractors, it gives more choice. When I worked for AmexTravel we operated a charter for ICI, but not everyone was eligible to use it.

I'm not saying that 'aviation people' won't use it on occasions. I am saying that having a daily easyjet flight from Bristol to Toulouse has not overridden the need for the Airbus corporate shuttle from Bristol. BAE has a shuttle from Bristol to Walney Island (Barrow) - usually a couple of rotations each weekday. Do you know if they have their own shuttle from Hawarden?

Hawarden to Walney Island....no I don't know, but it's quite a long and windy drive so maybe they do, it would certainly save a lot of time. Plus the trains are no good, particularly now while Northern Fail are in such a mess.

That is correct. Liverpool currently has the following 8 aircraft based:
3x A319: G-EZAA, G-EZFT, OE-LKD
5x A320: G-EZTE, G-EZUN, G-EZUP, OE-IGP, OE-IVJ

Summer 2017 saw 5x A319s and 2x A320s based.
Peak Summer 2017 had 163 departures per week.
Peak Summer 2018 has 185 departures per week.

Departures is showing an Easyjet departure at 18.15 to London/Luton EZS 9572, it's delayed about 40 mins and I image just moving aircraft from one base to another. I haven't seen Luton mention before normally it's Gatwick, it did however reminded me of when Luton was a scheduled service of theirs.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
