2 diversions for Cardiff from Bristol. 1 Aer Lingus ATR 72 and a KLM E190.

Another diversion from Bristol. TUI 737 800 G-FDZJ from TFS is diverting in and a Bristol bound Ryanair EI-FOD from Valencia is also on approach.

Another Ryanair Bristol divert this time from Cologne.

G-TWOP which is an executive Jet based at Bristol was also a divert today.

It looks like this evening CWL has had 2 diversions from BRS due to fog i believe.
1 Easyjet A320 G-EZWS from Rome and 1 Thomas Cook A320 YL-LCL from Antalya.

Also currently a few easyJet in the hold. One making 2 missed approach at the moment and the diverting to Liverpool which seems a bit strange seeming at the same time a flybe landed into Cardiff.

Think the weather maybe marginal at CWL for it to divert there.

According to FR24 tonights 23.35 TCX Lanzarote has been diverted to Faro and is due at 01.15 now.

Isn't this the 2nd time it's happened this Summer or was that a different canaries departure point.

Looks like there was a big delay on the Rome flight this morning. Due to depart at 07.10 it didn't depart till 11.08. The aircraft G-FBEG is down to do the 14.15 Faro departure as well and that is down as a 16.15 departure according to the airport's website.

I believe it was because the FO fell ill during the flight so the decision was made to turn back.

I'd imagine that they made the decision to turn back so as not to strand the aircraft and crew in Dalaman with an ill pilot.

They would be able to carry on to destination airport. But rules and regs kick in as no airline can operate/start a passenger flight with 1 certified pilot.If they had carried on to destination airport then aircraft and pax stuck till replacement crew can reach aircraft.So it was easier and quicker to return to airport it departed from or a airport that has a crew base for which ever airline.
