I noticed 1 of the flights from and to AMS has a slightly call/flight number. Its arr is city1065/KLC1065 and dep is city1066/KLC1066. Any one know what this is about
I also noticed that a few days ago from the South Wales Aviation Group's arrivals/departures boards.Callsign for Cityhopper?
I note the suggestion that carbon offset might become an opt-out with KLM instead of the current opt-in. I can see a UK government more 'green' in colour than the current one legislating for a carbon offset charge to be automatically levied with all air bookings, so there would be APD and carbon offset charges as part of the fare.Cardiff gets a mention in this!

Yes i wouldn't be surprised if in the long term it became more of an opt-out and became mandatory for all airlines.I note the suggestion that carbon offset might become an opt-out with KLM instead of the current opt-in. This plane then went tech and currently has a 10 hour delay on it.Today is KLMs birthday! Its 100 years old and Cardiff airport presented KLM with a gift to celebrate!
Probably not even an hour. On my Twitter account someone asked why I didn't do it by train. I looked that up and was surprised that it only takes 3 and half hours via Brussels by train from CDG to AMS.How long a journey is Paris CDG-Amsterdam?
Probably the high-speed Thalys trains between Paris and Amsterdam via Brussels. We've used them quite a lot between Brussels and Cologne in the past.Probably not even an hour. I've never done a continental rail journey so maybe something I might do in the future.Probably the high-speed Thalys trains between Paris and Amsterdam via Brussels. We've used them quite a lot between Brussels and Cologne in the past.
You certainly see more of the countryside close-up than in an aircraft. My wife and I have been 'training' across Europe for many years. In our experience the rail systems are usually extremely efficient, especially in Switzerland.I've never done a continental rail journey so maybe something I might do in the future.
It operated from the last week of February through March. I've checked KLMs website and it's not there, still 3 daily flights 1 E190 and 2 E175. It was added only a month or 2 in advance i believe but i don't expect it to come back. Hopefully between now and then KLM might upgrade another of the daily E175 flight to an E190 even if it's only on certain days. A 737 is something nice to dream about but a more realistic target would be all E190.Can you remind me when the KLM 737 operated on CWL-AMS and whether it is shown for a repeat performance during the same period it operated last time? Many thanks.
Although there must have been a reason to have used the 737 in the early part of this year so it might come back next year, but I can see how a permanent upgrade to a 190 on one of the other rotations would be better. It operated from the last week of February through March. The flight itself wasn't always operated by a 737 though, there were a few times when it was operated by an E175 or a E190. It was an odd flight and personally looking back i wonder if it might have been related to Brexit as there was a lot of talk that in the event of a no deal the amount of flight frequencies being locked in so i'm wonder if they launched the flight so they would keep their 4th daily flight slot to Cardiff if needed. It wasn't just Cardiff as well it was Norwich as well i believe.Although there must have been a reason to have used the 737 in the early part of this year so it might come back next year, but I can see how a permanent upgrade to a 190 on one of the other rotations would be better.
