Yep he did!I think CEO at the time Rod Hill, who negotiated with Easyjet to set up base at Liverpool when low cost airlines were a new idea. The man had a lot of foresight.

For some reason looked at my mouse mat at work today and realized it must be a pretty old piece of Easyjet merchandise....' the webs favourite airline ' who was that having a dig at ?! Very few destinations too compared with today.

This was the first episode of the second series Airline from the late 1990s (the first series featured Britannia Airways but subsequent ones followed easyJet).
The Boeing 737s have the same livery as your mouse mat and the second half of this episode features Liverpool Airport, easyJet's second base at that time.

I don't think they had any B737-200s. They began with the 300 series then began introducing the 700 series around 2000. I remember one of the early easyJet tv series episodes focused on the conversion training of pilots to the 700 from the 300.! P
I completely forgot they were a B737 airline. I think their first route was LTN- EDI and it could have been on a 737-200 but not completely sure. Their first routes from Liverpool were to Amsterdam and Nice, with Geneva following fairly soon afterwards. Liverpool to Luton was also an early route.
G UZHL A320 neo arrived from BFS this evening
Based from 18 August Paul. So I understand !Visiting Carl or to be based?
Have easyJet not flown from LPL to TFS before? If so, I'm very surprised.
Surprising that they haven't operated this before!
